Anyone tried these Feit rechargable LED lights from Costco?

Both are supposed to feature all aluminum construction.

These are rebranded versions of ones you can get fro China. The ones with the twist heads look interesting. The Nicron branded omes use a AA nimh or 14500 cell and make about 500lm with the 14500.

The twist head ones don’t appear to be rebranded Nicrons. These Feits are short and stubby like it is using a 18350 cell perhaps. It would be nice to know exactly what cell it is using. Costco’s website only says “rechargeable and replaceable 650 mAh Li-Ion battery”. With the current coupon the cost works to just $9 per flashlight which seems pretty good for a torch that includes a li-ion cell.

I found it branded as an iProtec at various websites (for a lot more BTW) here is one:
https://www.cabelas.com/product/IPROTECT-PRO-RC-ANGLE-WORK-LIGHT/3585997.uts?productVariantId=6848546

It provides a few new pics of the flashlight but no details on what cell exactly. It does list low as being 150 lumen with the same runtime as the Feit branded ones.

These appear to be a rebranded Rofis R1 design, using 16340/rcr123.

The Rofis R1 is much better quality with magnetic charging and max of 900 lumens. They share similar body style, but that's about all we can say until we see the internals.

The Rofis R1 only outputs 900 lumen for 30 seconds then steps down to 300 lumen — so that’s no so impressive.

How do you know the Rofis is much better quality? Have you had both it and this Feit light in your hands? Or are you just speculating?

Last time I checked costco inventory they just had c cell zoomies and crappy 3xaaa headlamps. These look a good deal for what you get.

I almost bit and ordered the 3-pack but then decided to wait and see if they show up at my local Costco. I would like to look them over (even if it’s through the plastic packaging) prior to purchasing. Also many times items are a cheaper at the warehouse than online.

This Feit product sheet seems to say this light uses a 16340 cell. I wish it was a 18350 for the potential for more capacity. I do still wonder if it uses protected cells or if that circuitry is in the light itself.

At the moment Costco (in store) has a three pack on sale for just $20 that has 2 pivot lights and 1 headlamp.

The pivot lights appear to come with protected 700mAh 16340 cells. I ran a capacity test on them using my smart charger; both registered slightly over their rated capacity with one being 736 and the other being 744 mAh.

Here is a link to an image of the pivot light with some minor deconstruction:

These are pretty awesome flashlights for the money, however I would have liked the battery to be a little bigger.
Either way they are great.
Ive been using them for 6+ months already.
I would rate them a 7 out of 10.
I have a large collection of Fenix Lights as well.

So after having used the lights for awhile, I feel like they have too much PWM flickering. Anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to fix that? I am thinking that perhaps I can replace the driver board, but I don’t have much experience in modding flashlights (but I do have soldering skills and equipment).
