Joule thief for a LED light bulb?

I saw a few of these on YouTube where they can light up a LED light bulb (A19) using a joule thief. Is it real? Thanks.

is what real?

yes you can make ‘joule thiefs’

all they do is blink a light at a very low level for a few days

not really much of a flashlight
