Hello, new here from /r/flashlight

Good evening all!
Made an account here a couple of years ago but mainly just lurked - I’ve been much more active over on the flashlight subreddit. Thought it was time to say hi

My first quality purchase was a Zebralight headlamp and since then I’ve picked up plenty of interesting lights like the Noctigon Meteor M43, D4Ti (v1), and more recently I’ve ordered a KR4 E21A 2200K and a BLF LT1 lantern. Really looking forward to enjoying this forum’s good work on that one this summer!

Thought I’d better introduce myself before heading into any group buy threads - already got my eye on the LT1 Mini project - so it’s my pleasure to meet you all. See you after sunset!

PS. If anyone has a favourite 10180 light, drop it in the comments. I love those tiny little things but seem to have bad luck with flickering output.

Welcome to BLF!

I hope you have fun here, sixhundredmiles!

Thanks! Good to be here.

Anything else you recommend me to take a look at?

Welcome!…so many to choose from

You might take a gander at the best/favorite/coolest of 2019 thread to get started. It also contains links to past years…

That said it also depends if you have any sort of personal preference. Maybe you prefer zoomies, or tiny handhelds, or headlamps, or hate them, something :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome! I lurk on r/flashlight but spend most my time here.

This looks excellent, I had no idea it existed! Will read through today. Thanks again.

I love low colour temperatures around 1900k-3000k, very very low moonlight modes, Toykeeper’s work especially Andúril, and I’m currently keeping my eyes open for good EDC options around 16340/14500/10440 formats.

Also have a soft spot for Zebralights (really efficient drivers, can run on moon mode for over a year, built like tanks) and 10180 keychain lights although my Astrolux 10180s have really unreliable twisty switches that still need fixing somehow.

Most of my current lights are very floody - good for area lighting while I work on repairing something in a dark corner - but I will try to pick up some throwers further down the line
