liitokala charger help

Hi everyone,

i recently bought a liitokala charger and AA chargable batteries for 3 years old son so he can play with rc toys, batteries came fully charged and on first time rc toy worked fine, but now whenever i try to charge these batteries with liitokala charger, in just 10-15 mins charger shows all 4 lights are full mean batteries are fully charged but they are not and toy does not start, i have tested the toy with new batteries and all working fine, so there i something wrong with either batteries or charger, please find the charger and batteries pics link below, please if someone can advise what is wrong. thanks

I am not familiar with these batteries but it says Alkaline AA 1.5V

Where did you buy your Liito charger? On the photos it looks ok. it is charging fine but I heard of some fake Liitokala chargers. I got mine from their official store on Ali.

Edit: I might be wrong. Sounds like there are rechargeable Alkaline batteries
and these batteries can only be recharged few times.

STOP charging those batties… NOW!!

1st…in the first picture, the battery shown is NOT the same as the ones in the 2nd & 3rd pics. Also, the claim of 3800 may is ridiculous and any manufacturer who so blatantly misrepresents, can’t be trusted!

Second…the batteries in pic #2 & pic #3 ARE NOT rechargable.

Your LiitoKala charger was not designed to charge “alkaline” batteries.

Apparently, they are rechargeable, but I’m not sure if his LiitoKala can handle that chemistry:

Yes these are the batteries i bought, and charger is also bought from Aliexpress. i am bit confused, everyone saying different thing :frowning:

I suggest you get name brand NiMH AA cells instead (Eneloop or Fujitsu).

Listen to Pete7874. Your batteries and charger are incompatible. You got alkaline rechargeable batteries (RAM), but the charger can do only NiMH/NiCD or LiIon batteries.

You have 2 options:

1.) get a charger for alkaline rechargeable batteries. Then you will be able to re-charge your Okomans around 20-30 times (RAM cells have limited cycle life)
2.) get normal NiMH cells and your LiitoKala 402 charger will be able to recharge them 200-300 times (10 times higher cycle life than RAM)

And don’t believe the claimed 3800mAh.

Cheers,
AA Cycler

Just get Fujitsu/Panasonic type NiMH batteries and don’t buy shit stuff in the future.

What Chris said. :student:

Thanks everyone really, at least i know what is the problem and what is the solution, much appreciated.

THROW THOSE BATTERIES AWAY!!!
Don’t even try to reuse them. They are trash!
Get decent NiMh, NOT MORE JUNK.

please if someone can mention any decent NiMh rechargeable batteries AA & AAA?
there are NiMh batteries available from Aliexpress, should i buy form there?
thanks

You already screwed the pooch the first go-round, so try not to do it again.

These guys are well regarded and nearby, relatively speaking:

NKON: Netherlands, Eneloop/Fujitsu

Chris

Your safest bet is Panasonic/Eneloop or Fujitsu, as was mentioned previously.

Personally, I would stay away from Aliexpress when buying rechargeable batteries.
