either will do , i have 2 but i need a third one, i ordered some more but probably will be a couple few weeks to get here ,, i really want to get this build under my belt ,, i would appreciate any help u can do for me, i have the 2280 ma one if u want to trade or something , thanks for reading
I just had a look at these "3040mA" drivers and I know exactly how they got the 3040 figure.
The 7135 datasheet specs state, "340(mA) minimum, 360 typical, 380 maximum" The driver uses 8 7135s, so 380*8 = 3040mA. I wonder if KD actually bins their 7135s to get 380mA out of them....
Anyways, I happen to have my own 8x7135 "2.8A" board here. shoot me your addy and I'll get it in the mail, gratis.
Omg u have one lmk how much u r awesome man ,btw I’m gonna do a step by step wher people will actually see how exactly ,it’s actually confusing for me , I’m going to try and make it easier ,pm sent
Craig yours and others here seize to amaze me , u guys are true gentlemen ,there are quite a few that have given me there time to help me with my molding and the Craig will not take my money and sending me the driver I need for nothing but out of kindness, it’s enough to make a grown man weep , thank u guys so much for your kindness, this is why I stay here since I got back into flashlights , u guys love this stuff like me
People are reporting they get 3.04 amps from the KD drivers and that the 7135 chips are labeled 38k versus 35k for the old ones which means they are binned at 380 ma instead of 350 ma. I tested the new Shiningbeam driver and it delivers 2.8 amps and has the 35 labeled chips.
Thanks for that link! There’s so many new threads here, I seem to never see the good ones before they are buried.
So the manufacturer is doing all the binning and labeling (naturally) and the maker of the boards has now gotten to the higher range chips? How many versions of these boards are out there? It seems there's a new version or revision every time I go looking. Hard to keep up with them.
