You bought it new? What driver does it have? The old 3-5 mode driver or new 12 mode driver?
Is the battery full?
Is the output low if you bypass the tail switch?
It appears to be a defective driver/firmware. Great that Simon is willing to send you a new driver. He’s an awesome seller! That should resolve the issue. But you instead want a whole pill, which I’m assuming you mean the LED, MCPCB, the pill and retaining ring, and driver. Is that since you are not able to re-solder the new driver? Just curious.
I am unsure if I can solder the driver… From the looks of it you have to be real careful not to fill in the retaining ring slots ?
Anyway simon is an awesome seller. It looks like I am buying 2 16mm DTP plates <?> and he is giving me 2 drop-ins. I think I have to solder something? or maybe I am paying for the plates and he is then sending an assembled pill… His response… “you can buy 2pcs LEDs,i will send 2pcs drop-in to you ,How do you think?”
To remove the driver you would need to unscrew the retaining ring and unsoldering the wires. Overall pretty simple, but if you haven’t done it before, it can look intimidating.
Sounds like Simon has you all set though. He is very accommodating.
