Compact knife with assist open?

Anyone know if a knife that’s like the schrade 303m size and weight but with assist open? Under $15 would be great.

From my research, Kershaw makes the best budget assisted-openers.

The Schrade SCH303M has a 2.6" blade, and I like knives with larger blades, so I don't have any specific Kershaw recommendations for you.

Good luck in your search!

Thanks, I had a feeling you will be the first to reply. Lol. I do even walk with my wife, don’t like heavy or big knife.

Well, high-quality low-priced assisted-openers is my specialty.

If you look on Kershaw's website, you can search for assisted-openers that are under 3", and then look up reviews on Amazon (or elsewhere.)

That's how I pick out knives that I want to buy (except for the under 3" part.)

I then actually buy the knife on eBay, but before I do, I ask the eBay seller if the knife's assisted-opening is strong.

If the eBay seller gives me a response that I like, I buy it.

(I don't know if you can ask sellers not-on-eBay that question.)

BladeHQ

I have Blur SG2 limited edition 1000 pieces only made. Insanely sharp and durable blade.

You might as well look at Schrade’s Mini Landshark, the SCHA9M. It’s barely 3” closed, and if you get one that doesn’t have any QC issues, it’s a great knife.

Have you looked at the Smith & Wesson AO line at SMKW?
I have a couple of the tactical folders. They seem good quality knives for the price.

Might be too big and heavy. I wear basketball shorts and power walk. Weight and size might be inconvenience.

I’ll looks into it. Thanks!

Since you’re from California, 1.9 inch automatics or switchblades are legal here in Cali. There seems to be quite a selection since it’s such a small blade requirement to be legal here. The higher quality ones can be quite pricey and the $20 or less is a crapshoot with regards to quality.

Here are some of my smaller ZT/Kershaw assisted opening knives you might like.

The Kershaw Amplitude might work for you as well. 2.5 inch blade and appears to weigh in at 2.45oz. It’s priced anywhere from $24 -$30 though.

Got a Mtech A882ch. Not bad for $8
