Dang! How did they manage to take a picture of my couch?

Just kidding, I would burn that thing!

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

Sweet one Wink
It is probably better than the UVs I have.

BTW, Wuben, does it have the UV filter as lens or just a regular lens?

The description says “delicate and compact.” The word “delicate” has connotations of being easily broken, as in “a delicate glass figurine.” WubenLight might want to re-think that. Wink

The light looks nice. I see $24.99 retail on Wuben’s site….

Please be aware of a patent relating to UV filter sold on a flashlight in the US.

I’m not aware of full details, but Convoy had to stop selling their UV S2+ with ZWB2 filter lens installed.

I call BS on the couch pic. There are stains “floating in the air”. Photoshop for sure.

I’m not in the US, but just wondering how a common ZWB2 filter would have this kind of implications…

The Convoy S2+ (Nichia UV365 LED) doesn’t normally come with ZWB2 UV filter. (Simon sells the ZWB2 UV filter as add-on accessory)

The Convoy S2 has 2 variants, the LG UV365 3-watt and LGUV365 5-watt version, both of them come pre-installed with ZWB2 UV filter.

Sofirn’s SF32UV (Nichia UV365 LED) doesn’t come with ZWB2 UV filter, but I recall the Sofirn AliExpress store description for this item, formerly allowed for different options/packages, one of which has the ZWB2 UV filter included in the package (but not pre-installed — users need to install themselves — I ordered this package option before). Upon checking Sofirn’s item description for the SF32UV model, I can’t seem to find the package option that includes ZWB2 filter anymore (I looked at several Sofirn websites now, and it seems none of them have the option of including the ZWB2 UV filter.)

(pardon the going off-topic…)

Here is a discussion about the filter patent from the people who own it.

Aside from the killer postage, too bad for the double Kiss “alka-leaks”.

A royal light, otherwise.

Looks nice. The postage is a bit much but I’m going to pick one up before all the patent nonsense catches up.

WubenLight, could you tell us which UV emitter is used in this light?

I just received this light yesterday and am putting it through it’s paces. I only have a couple UV lights to compare it to, but so far it has performed really well. I will hopefully have a review up on 1lumen.com in the next week or so. I should be posting some info here on BLF as well.

Wuben: I will agree with what was said previously. “Delicate” can mean “easy to break”. Perhaps a word like “elegant” might be more fitting?

My purple Wuben E19UV showed up today. It’s very nice, and I thought I’d share my thoughts about it.

This is my first Wuben flashlight. My only other experience with a UV flashlight is my Convoy S2+ with the Nichia UV emitter and a ZWB2 filter, which I like very much.

The E19UV’s finish is great and the knurling is smooth. I really like the purple anodizing. The etched lettering is very crisp.

The switch is hard plastic, not rubber. It’s a reverse clicky and feels good.

The pocket clip grasps the light firmly. It’s a bit thin, but works great in a shirt pocket.

The head was not glued, but was very tight. The pill was not glued and was easy to unscrew with tweezers.

The LED seems to perform very nicely. It lights up fluorescent objects very brightly in a darkened room.

I’m not sure which UV emitter it is, but even without the filter it does not emit much visible light.

Here are two photos I took of the LED. Click them to enlarge.

Overall, I’m very pleased!

Great to hear the head wasn’t actually glued. Nice pics! I agree, it’s a very nice UV light. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I just found the E19UV review on 1lumen.com after I made my post.

That’s your review, right? Great write-up and excellent photos! Thumbs Up
