Hi all

First of all I just want to say that if I have posted this question in the wrong place, then I am sorry.

I ordered the above light from Dinodirect. After reading reviews on here and of course not needing a new light, I bought one! I read a post saying they had a discount, came to my senses and realised 'I do need a new light after all. Anyway The question is, Are Dinodirect any good? I ordered the light over 2 weeks ago and so far nothing but emails and apologies for not sending the light out to me. Now I have just had an email saying it is 'out of stock'. And yet if I go on there website it's 'in stock'. Has anyone had one of these torches from them?

Oh and one last thing, thanks for not making me wait 48 hrs just to show my post, Or sticking me in the 'special section' until I have enough posts to be trusted..

Welcome to BLF! There is a huge thread on DD here, I'll let you make up your own mind, or you can just ask kreisler what he thinks of DD...

I have been waiting for the exact same light as well but havent received an out-of-stock notification.

kreisler don't confuse newbies, they might make the mistake and take you seriously.

@marcl: I would wait it out and mark day 43 after purchase in your calendar (45 days PP claim limit). With Chinese New Years things might take even longer than usual. 4-5 weeks I would take as normal under these circumstances. If you don't like to wait that long you can always cancel your order, as long as it is not shipped. All of my 8 Dino orders arrived here.

No Marc doesn’t work for DX or DD. I am not having a go at them, just wondering if they are winding me up a bit with offers of cheap torches they do not have.

Nah I'll wait, I've already had a $5 voucher. By day 43 they will owe me for taking the torch off their hands!

Marc, your item *is* in stock, ive just asked Otta thru the DD chat channel. I would advise you to do the same. Now. Ask otta "youve just said its in stock. then i dont understand why youve sent me the email saying that its not in stock. whats wrong with you dinos??"

In general they deliver stuff you order there in a good condition, they got an "avoid" label here in the sellers thread mainly due to "fake reviews" and insanely high standard prices for which they give you 3242348932% discount. If you ignore those... they are a reliable seller overall. One of their sales representatives is also on this board (Summer). I don't like their business practices, but I still order from them, especially when good prices for premium products are available.

I also got three of the same message today. It is totally normal, or at least I hope so. This message is somewhat autonomous for delayed orders but now that they come back from a two week holiday they should process the orders in a timely manner. During the Christmas and new year period they have been really quick for the orders and I never had a problem with the goods. Oh, one of the items I had ordered was out of stock and their message was different, offering a refund or sending another item I’d choose. One item was delayed, and I asked for a refund. They asked me to wait for a weeks more. Luckily, I had that item in my address later that day. It had had a long trip from China to Maldives and then to Turkey. Now I have 10 front lenses travelled farther than myself :slight_smile:
About P2A, yes, I got mine from them, and it had quality control stickers all over it. I hope you’ll get yours too in the same condition.

DD, DinoDirect? No, they are scammers. Avoid.

They had a Fenix E21 at 50% price drop but it was still over $100 :slight_smile: Follow the coupon codes, make reviews, attend surveys, and catch some real discounts. I had always avoided them due to hugely inflated prices but now I see why people still continue buying from them. There are/were lights with already 10-15$ dropped prices those you could use an additional $10-15 coupon, spend your gift card and use your store points at the same time. I almost would have had a Sysmax charger worth over $30 for $9. Lucky I am I didn’t as Sysmax wants them all back for FW update. :smiley:
