The VTS would have control shots and comparable shots that you could select .

Any emitter, any tint ,any power output .

The exact same light would be taking the beamshots ,same driver same light regulated powersupply so there are no variables except the bin.You could compare side by side an xml 1A next to a xpg 4b next to a Q3 5c or any tint across the chromatic scale .Maybe run them up or down in 5 or 6 different power settings as well dropping each only as they become severly overdriven ..I'd like to be able to dial in "the perfect tint" .

Every flashaholic should buy a Lee Filters swatch book to play around with tints and see how changing the tint affects brightness. The book can be found fairly cheaply.
