Hi, here an absolute newbie, reading about flashlight since 1 week, trying to learn and to don’t waste my money with my first new capricious.
I just receive my fisrt flashlight, a Wubem L50, i’m waiting to receive 4 small cheap flashlights, and a Ledlenser EVO25 (promotion of LIDL spain).
But i want “more”, thinking seriously to buy a Sofirn Sp70, with Shockli 26650 5500mah cells.
I’m interested too, by the Convoy M21C SST40, Sofirn Q8 4 XPL HI, Astrolux C8 XP-L HI, Astrolux FT03 SST40, to complete a small collection.
I think that all are in a middle range quality, with a good value for money.
Please don’t hesitate to give me your opinion about my “wishes”.
The SP70 is a really nice light and those cells should work great but check length you might need button top or add a small neodymium magnet between the cells. I have green Shockli flat top 26650 cells and use magnet all works fine.
Yes, MRsDNF is right, you only need ONE flashlight.
An old Hungarian proverb says: even the richest man can only ride one horse at the time.
A bit of advise (but who am I) stay away from lights that need costly proprietary batteries.
If those batteries fail, who guarantees they will be still available if you need them.
And batteries are almost certain the first things to fail, not to mention you need a spare one.
Unless you decide to carry a spare flashlight and not a spare battery.
In my case, i don’t need any flashlight, i didn’t used it, and when i needed some light my cell phone was more than enough……and i don’t need 10 watches, i don’t need 50 suits, etc……
I wrote it in the first message, it’s a capricious, so logic and rationality are excluded.
Thanks, very interesting peg matite, you make me discover that the same kind of cells have differents sizes, and the first time that i read “neodymium”. Any link?
Can somebody recommend me the “perfect”cell for a Sofirn SP70?
