Not affiliated, but FWIW I have this flashlight and it’s one of my favorites. Zebralight really hit a home run with this model.

Thanks, xevious! Thumbs Up

I own about ten ZebraLight headlamps and flashlights. I’ve had my SC62w for almost 5 years and it still looks and works great.

I have an SC64c that I swapped a Nichia 219B sw45k into almost 2 years ago, and it’s my favorite light.

I bought this SC64c LE to perform a warmer 219B swap, but I never got around to doing it. Honestly, I feel like I’d be tempting fate by opening and modding another ZebraLight. The first one was very nerve-wracking and I’m nervous to do it all over again! Big Smile

Wow, 10? That’s cool you were able to mod an SC64c. I’d be afraid of doing it, seeing how it’s all potted… I have a 219B sw45k, but I think I’ll save it for an easier flashlight. What other hosts have you chosen with success in a Nichia emitter swap?

As I said, the 219B swap in my other SC64c was nerve-wracking. ZebraLight master modder Bob_McBob was kind enough to offer me some guidance.

Besides the light being difficult to open, the LED is mounted directly to the double-sided driver board. I used a hot-air station with a tiny nozzle made of aluminum foil to concentrate the heat around the LED.

I was very surprised to have opened, swapped, and reassembled the light without damaging anything. Bob_McBob has had a couple drivers lose a component on the bottom side due to being stuck to the potting compound.

Here’s a photo of my swapped SC64c right after reinstalling the driver board. To say I was excited would be quite an understatement. Party

I’m probably forgetting a few, but my 219B swaps include:

  • Astrolux A01
  • EagleEye X1R
  • Emisar D4 V1
  • Fenix E05
  • Lumintop FW3A
  • Lumintop IYP365
  • Noctigon Meteor M43
  • ReyLight Copper AAA
  • Sofirn SP40
  • Sunwayman V11R
  • UltraTac A1
  • Wurkkos WK01
  • ZebraLight H51w
  • ZebraLight SC64c

Here’s part of Team Rosy from a while back:

Your modding a Zebralight is impressive. Which 219b did you use? Edit: oh, sw45 nm.

How can a 219b handle SC64c’s H1 and top two H2 modes? Do you have any way to accurately test how bright the H1 mode is now with 219b?

Thanks! I couldn’t have done it without some guidance from Bob_McBob.

He has some lumen measurements in the first post of this thread. He says that H2 is 334 and H1 is 505. I rarely use H1 but it seems the 219B sw45k can handle it without issue.
