Originally the XP-G2 version, but LED’s were replaced with XP-L Hi U6 5A3 (4000K-4200K).
The end result is about equal throw to the original, but with increased brightness/lumens and most notably the much improved warmer neutral tint. These XP-L Hi have an absolutely beautiful neutral tint, no nasty green, and no tint shift.
*For some reason, the lowest special mode (which is the least used mode in a throwy light imho), flickers and turns off. Medium, High, Turbo and AUX Modes run perfectly without issues. I don’t know if this was caused from the higher VF of the XP-L Hi, but it wasn’t an issue for me as I almost always used the light in the highest mode, so didn’t bother switching back to XP-G2.
Unlike single LED throwers, the beauty with this light is that it can run at full power without overheating until the battery is depleted. (only marginal 20% timed step down after 200 seconds).
I wanted to mod this light like Will34 did and turn it into a monster, but I just don’t have the time.
Complete with box, transport pouch, user manual, lanyard and original XP-G2 LED’s (They have a great tint too, but closer to 5500K).
