Sanyo Eneloop SALE at Costco (USA only?)

Sanyo Eneloop SALE at Costco (USA only?)

I have not seen the kit yet but plan to take a drive over to Costco tomorrow. It is my understanding that the kit is identical to the following item at Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-Eneloop-Charger-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B003VLAEPQ/ref=sr_1_4?t=slickdeals&tag=slickdeals&s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325622355&sr=1-4

Extra Note: You may want to read the first user comment at Amazon. It reinforces our understanding about just how good these batteries really are.

It includes 12 NEW VERSION Sanyo Eneloops (made in Japan) and a (cheap) Chinese Charger (that may require charging in pairs and doesn't hold a candle to the Maha.

8 AA

4AAA

Charger

The sale price (good until the 12th or the 15th?) is less than $21.

Regards,

KumaBear

Funny, I ALMOST bought another one just a few days ago when I was there. I don't mind saving a few dollars

Thanks for the heads up, although I was heading there tonight or tomorrow, anyway, since I'm pretty much a weekly Costco shopper

It still bugs me that you have to charge in pairs with these Sanyo chargers. I have a remote for the fireplace that takes 3 x AAA that seems need recharging more than anything else.

this is a super low price!

they have bundled the best (most expensive, best electronics/charging program) Sanyo charger with 8 AA's and 4 AAA's in distinctive color shading :exmark:

if the user doesnt care about voltages, capacities, charging times, and cycling, and break-ins, then the Sanyo charger is a great no-worries charging solution. very practical, and cheap at this price point.

btw, the most sold charger with a digital display worldwide is the BC-700 (by any licensée). < 20$.

Nice price drop. This was on sale at $25.99 at Costco locally on 1/22.

$25.99 is a clear steal.

i'd buy and sell on ebay ;)

No Costco in my area so will have to wait to try them out

7dayshop (UK only) here is doing 8 Eneloops (no charger) for £12.99 ($20). This is a good deal for here.

Hi- where do you see the BC-700 for less than $20? Thanks!

I picked one up today and will probably sell the charger. Even if I don't sell it, $21 is still a great price for 8 x AA and 4 x AAA. I was planning on stocking up on some more eneloops anyway.

Now for the bad beat: They were setting up for the Super Bowl sample smorgasbord just as I was leaving tonight so I'll have to make yet another trip this week to experience that. You just CAN'T pass up Costco Super Bowl sample smorgasbord!

That is worth buying again, especially since I have to charge 8AA's at a time for my TK41, so I can put the 2nd charger to good use.

I bought this charger for when I need to charge 8 AA or AAA batteries at the same time. Keeps my TK41 running if needed but I have so many AA NiMh batteries already charged and ready, it's not a big deal if I don't charge 8 at once.

Good price for supposedly a pretty good charger. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how effective the "battery conditioning" really is.

anywhere. just look for the BC-700 clones. the original is LaCrosse. LaCrosse licensed their design to tens of other companies who sell it rebranded. you can begin with ebay and amazon, or google.

OK- thanks. I was looking for the LaCrosse, as I didn't know there were clones, and it was running in the $40 range.

Edit: I checked E-bay, Amazon, Google, Dinodirect, Manafont, and Deal Extreme, and I found a couple references to a Technoline BC-700 in the UK- are there others that you know of?

There are several others ("tens"). Feel free to open a new thread on this topic.

Picked up one today, same exact combo that I bought a year ago.

I give Sanyo and Costco an A+ for product and pricing

I give them a big fat "F" for packaging, especially considering they market this as a 'green', environmentally friendly product. Clamshell packaging SUCKS, it is next to impossible to open without a sharp knife, and then you may damage the batteries themselves. And clamshell will far outlast you and I when it comes to being biodegradeable. I hope they pass legislation outlawing it for good.

Rant over.

Troop, I couldn't agree more. Costco has some real boner packaging throughout the store. I think 'green' is just a marketing term with them.

Thanks for this post, I was overdue to get my tires rotated at Costco and this forced me to drive over there. I ended up buying two sets for myself and one for a friend...great deal! I found a few Duraloops last night at my local Walmart, at the express checkout...the ones in the battery section were the gray/Chinese version. I think I'm good to go now ;)

FYI, Costco currently has the charger/AA/AAA pack for $19.97

That's not even with a "manufacturers rebate." I wonder if they're simply trying to liquidate this batch. I picked one up. I now have two from these recent sales and have the chargers listed on craigslist. The funniest thing is that the charger/8xAA/4xAAA combo is 2 cents cheaper than the 10xAA pack right now, haha. Free charger!

The 12xAAA is $18

The 10 aa, no charger, i grabbed one anyway, ive been to two costcos in norcal, and one in socal, same outcome. I got one about 4 years ago, that included 8 aa, 2aaa, and 4 dcell adapters along with 4 c cell adapters. With charger, that was the ultimate hookup and my batteries are still fully functional.
