I got interested in newer LED flashlights last year. I only had those crappy 3-9 LED AAA and big D cell ones before that.
I don’t know how it happened but I now have over a dozen flashlights.
All are budget ones and/or with Vipon and other coupons.
And get this, I didn’t even spend $50 on the flashlights excluding batteries and the bike and weapon lights.
The bike and weapon lights each cost almost same as the whole group of flashlights.
I have couple of headlamps but they are not flashlights so not included here.
In the 1st picture below, all are flashlights except the 5th from left VANGOGO is a 500 lumens bike light, 6th one is a CR123 weapon light
and 7th is a 310 lumen Cygolite bike light, however, all can be used as a flashlight. AAA, AA and 18650 batteries in the middle for relative size.
The best flashlight for my use is the Modoao that I paid $3 after Vipon and Amazon coupons.
It’s not zoomable and no turbo with 5 modes.
I’ve used it for walking at night and it’s plenty with bright center to reach far out and nice flood to light up near.
I like it better than 5 times expensive Aidier TC20.
The best value I got is the dual 18650 Keenstone zoomie flashlight.
The box came with two dual 18650 flashlights including four batteries and a charger. All for $4 after Vipon and Amazon coupons. I think I got them for way less than they can even make it.
I think the only brand you guys know is Aidier/Ultratac among all of them in my collection. I have Ultratac A7 and Aidier TC20.
Most are junk from BLF standards but anything decent here? I have to sort and give unwanted ones to friends as these are too many to use.

I hear you. I bought a few ARC lights in the 2000’s, and then decided to rebuild about two months ago. I’m going a little higher end than you (no cheap zoomies), but have bought about 115 lights in a month and a half. Staples like a Convoy S2+, little lights like the Sofirn C0S1, and some other specialized stuff like a Sofirn BLF DT1 lantern and a Fenix HM61R headlamp. I think I’m done….lol…
