Any recommendations on an android TV box? I had a H96 max, crapped out on me after 8 months of usage. It turns on but won’t connect even after I changed 2 HDMI cables. Don’t think I am getting that brand again.

Always liked the Minix boxes
This, they cost more but they are the best.
Have used a cheap box for a while and now it’s finally dead and I had to spend some time choosing a better option.
If you don’t need official android tv, check Ugoos X2 or X3. It seems that Ugoos is the only company that invested a lot into software, this makes their tv boxes much more convenient in use with wireless keyboards and air mouses.
Wow, the shield cost some shiny pennies.
I use the mi tv box.
Another vote for the Shield TV. Not cheap but definitely worth it.
The new Chromecast with Google TV is a fine budget option.
