night lights - what do you know?

Hey, so lots of folks here care about CRI, tint, and light. What do you folks do for night lights? Amazon sells wifi night nights that you can control brightness over PWM, ones that you can flash open source firmware on. Just wondering if others have found cool night light products.

haha, yeah I get it. I guess I want to combine good lights with some cool night light functionality. Like for example, blink night lights as a way to notify when something is happening. Blink night lights when garage door is opened/closed, or whatever.

I have a older version of THESE. No, they aren’t high CRI, nor do they have to be. They are just night lights. They color change, motion activate, have a flashlight built into the end and even have a USB port as well. PWM? No clue. They just make sure I don’t trip over stuff in the dark. Think I paid $20 for a 4 pack at Home Depot a few years back. I’m sure you can find them on sale somewhere.

I make my own, it`s easier and cheaper and I use Icans so the CRI is always good.
if you wanted a Mains version, just get a USB plug, snip the 2 middle pins off, solder an E10 MES bulb holder to the 2 outer pins, pot it with nail acrylic so it`s one solid module, plug that into a 5v USB wall adaptor, screw in a 6v bulb and you`re done!

I use red night lights, I’m up a lot at night with the kids and the red lights don’t wake me up as much.

If I get wide awake at night and go back to sleep I always wake up with a headache.

I have two nightlights with formally blue, white, and green LEDs. Replaced blue and white with Yuji 3200K and nrgwn 2300K LEDs.
