Test / Review: LG 18650 E1 2100mAh (Brown)

LG 18650 E1 2100mAh (Brown)

Sorry, no data on this cell.

The cell is a high current cell and has very low internal resistance.

The cell does handle up to 10A and the capacity does not drop at this current, the slight rise in capacity is probably because the cell is heating up.

Each test does discharge the cell slightly, that is the reason for the seperation between the tracks and because they have no protection the test run all the way up to 15 ampere.

Conclusion

This cell shows good test result, and I will rate it as a very good cell, expecially if you need high currents.

I like this one. Does Candle Lamp sell them?

I do not believe so, but he has access to LG cells and wanted them compared to other cells.

Maybe they are used in some tools?

That is a truly amazing battery. I had no idea such performance was even possible. So you could in theory use this to drive a SST-50 at rated amps for about 15 minutes or a XML at 2,8 A for about 20 minutes before the light falls out of regulation.

I am just spitballing here. I might even have interpreted your graphs wrong.

Thorough as always HKJ. And thanks for the heads up that such cells even exist :-)

It is the second battery with this kind of performance I have tested, Callies also has some high current cells.

The AW IMR is even better at high current, but has less mAh.
