We have just released one 40W compact HID torch, which powered by 4 pieces of seperate 18650s.

I have been after a Fire-Foxes 40W Compact HID for ages but unfortunately
they are available in China.
The Magic Fire looks like a great alternative.
Waiting for beamshots before I take the plunge :D

It does look very cool to me.
Hmmm, a bit pricy compared to the generic chinese HID considering you dont even get a battery pack.
I may be interested if a group buy lowers the price significantly, 120$ would be OK for me...
I just felt in love with that body :)

This light shouldn't be compared to the generic stuff, IMO. Think of it as a bargain Foxfire.

It looks like they paid $175 shipped for the group buy. I was hoping it would throw for miles I have plenty of flood with the DRY.
well, i can agree with that last part, but honestly, when landing my boat, I wouldn't mind if every passenger had a DRY (and its not a big boat). lakes are one thing - reservoirs are different - freaking rocks and stumps everywhere, just under the surface.
