The Shadow Knows!

:O a

I remember a radio program that was;

"The Shadow Knows" it was on sunday afternoons. That was the best entertainmet there was and it was Free!

As I have told our three adult children we used to set and watch the radio.

I only watch TV not really.

Picture this three big flat screens and I never turn them on. I only turn on the radio.

What did I learn I came here and bought three (3) lights in January. Now just ordered the Shadow only because of what I read here on this forum. JM 07 Pro Stone White. I love it alread and do not have it yet. I like the

PD-20 by Fenix. IT rides on my belt with sheath it came with EDC # 1. The Solarforce rides on a break-away lanyard that I put together it rides around my neck inside a pocket or inside a shirt it is the EDC # 2.

It is said, that radio broadcasts have the highest end picture…
I listen to radio 10-fold more than TV. Radio & internet are my sources.

I used to listen in the car with my dad all the time. I loved them growing up. It was before my time though. My dad had them on cassettes. I’m only 21 now so it wasn’t that long ago I used to listen.

Sunday afternoon was RUGBY for all the males in my family,Myself,dad,Grandad and great grandad.The girls used to listen the game on the radio while makeing the Sunday dinner.One thing always miffed me when we would arrive home.Watching the game live and listening on the radio,you would think it wasnt the same game at all.I love radio,its more personal,especially localised stations.I can smell the roast beef now and my Grandad[god bless him]shouting,fotch thi wireliss int dineinroom,footballzon[translation,bring the radio in the dineingroom the rugbys about to start].This was in the mid nineteen seventys.Even today i have sky,BBC,Internet,you name it we have it,but i usually go in my shed and listen to it on my oldfashioned radio.I even have DAB and a HD TV in the shed…….

One of my other hobbies is collecting and listening to old time radio shows. The last time I took count I had 95 shows comprising of 5916 episodes (48.6GB).

The name of the show was "The Shadow" and it debuted on July 31, 1930. The introduction to The Shadow radio program was, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!". I have 64 episodes of The Shadow in my collection.
