Anybody seen this guy yet?

$60 so, might have to wait a while.

Yeah, the head-thumping P60 nightstick.

I haven't developed an opinion on that one yet, still trying to think what I would use a single-18650 light with 3-dummy batteries for. And where is the switch on that thing, at the back? How do you carry it then?

Looking forward to see it.

Mine was shipped 13 days ago, left HK yesterday. Still couple of days of anxious waiting..

I don't mean to spoil the fun or anything, but I am not a big fan of these things. Think about it: worst case scenario, how is it going to look to the members of a jury if they hear you routinely carry this thing and used it to smash in the head of a poor, misunderstood soul with multiple priors (that they may or may not hear about) who attempted to liberate you of your wallet or worse - according to his attorneys, through absolutely no fault of its own, of course. Well, it's called "Gladiator" and it looks like a medieval weapon. So they are going to think of it as a weapon. And that may make you look like the bad guy. Or even worse, the other guy may feel threatened, fear for his life and resort to using (possibly deadly) force.

If you have the need to carry a ASP for whatever reason, get an ASP and get the training required to use it safely (and legally, of course). Cops do it and so should you. Or get a permit to carry like millions of other law-abiding Americans. And I assume, if you're in NY(C), NJ, DC, IL, MD or HI you can't legally carry an ASP either, though I haven't checked.

I am not saying these should be illegal or anything like that. I just don't think it's very smart to carry a light-in-a-bat thingie. They make for nice collectibles. But if you need a nightstick, get a nightstick and learn how to use it safely. That's my take on these things anyway.

Hmmm . . . I'm not sure if I like this light or not but I'm reasonably certain a non-threatening carry method might be possible, with practice . . . along with common sense choices of when and where to carry. If purchased, would likely spend 99% of its time under my jurisdiction in my office.

Actually, got my eye on another light.

Yeah, me too, Foy. Chidwack has me half talked into a Jetfire PA40

Oh yeah? Where can I see it?

Foy

..and it's here!!

Looks surprisingly much like a flashlight, especially in the holster. Might not cause problems even on a public place, unlike the mace.

I have a really cheaply made "Klutch" mini baseball bat light with 3 C batteries. Outfitted it with an XP-G and two mode driver (high, strobe). Figured it would be a good gift for someone who's afraid to have a gun under the bed.

I would never have my gun under the bed. I keep it on my nightstand where I can access it quickly.
