haha, i don't think so DX - pay more, for less (since I'd still need an xm-l drop-in lol)

That looks just like a L2X!!!

Nice! Now you can tenderize your meat in the dark!

If you are superstitious then go with the Small Sun over the Solarforce. The Small Sun has 12 rings on its body where the Solarforce has 13 rings on its body (9|12|4 vs 9|13|4).

That extra ring in the battery tube of the SF could mean it takes protected batteries where the SS version won't due to its extra 6mm in shortness (140mm vs 134mm).

Who wakes up every morning and has to look at what wonders China has produced over night?

For a couple of bucks more, I'll stick with the SF. You do get an extra dropin with this but I bet the quality of the host isn't nearly as good. It would be nice if it was though.

+1 Are you sure the SmallSun takes p60 DROP-INS?

I got my L2X for $15 from Lighthound during their Christmas sale. It's funny that this clone cost more.

That is most of the motivation for me to even open my eyes in the morning.

Well...that...and the 250W HPS grow light, on a timer, that hangs from the ceiling...

The DX torch has a lot of marks all over the body, where you can see the alu and that for $19,10.

It has a drop-in, but who uses a Q5 nowadays? I prefer XM-L or XP-G R5 - the Q5 would be useless for me.

The genuine SF is HAIII and you pay $22,99 incl. shipping (Solarforce-sales.com - the best shop, if you do not live in US). I would buy for the Solarforce.

A Q5 is really dated nowadays but far from being useless. Still stand out compared to most classic maglite users around.

Anyway, At that price i would go for the original no doubt. A Q5 dropin doesen't make the light appealing. An XM-L would at that price.

I thought you were being sarcastic. I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I gotta say, I find that light frighteningly oogly.

Yep Tongue Out

if I've seen an uglier light, I've forgotten it

That has got to be the most hideous looking light I have ever seen. Reminds me of a sea creature.

Which just goes to show beauty is in the eye of the beholder (to pokazuje ljepotu je u očima promatrača - thanks Google).

I now need some brain bleach to get that hideous thing out of my mind.

Yes, or some kind of tapeworm. I usually don't care much about design aesthetics, but that really is the vilest torch I've yet seen

The orientation of the fins on the head of this light would actually help with heat on say , a bicycle light .

Just sayin' .

I cant believe how ugly that thing is. Don't you buy no ugly light.

Holy shite Batman! What do you bet this waste of huffingold can-o-spray paint smells as bad as it looks.
