Looks like its at night with a spotlight on him from above, possibly aided by some CGI as well.
It's actually a costume with a ton of leds on it.
I was expecting a short circuit and for him to burst into flames at the end....
you get the perfection just raising the unnecessary xD
Had to be frightening to ski in the dark like that with no light except what is immediately around him, especially when he when through the wooded part. Talk about little time to react!
