Manafont 20.5mm switches and my L2T, not a happy end

I ordered these switches from Manafont to modify my Solarforce L2T with a reverse clicky. I hoped that the switches would fit, but the tailcap construction on the L2T is very picky about switches. Original SF switch PCB is 18.9 mm in diameter and the actual switch is 11.5 x 11.5 mm... Manafont switch PCB ~20.5mm diameter and the switch is 11.2x17.7mm. It is however the perfect replacement switch for a UF WF-504B (Dinoversion) and supposedly also for the fake L2s.

Here some pics:

dperreno seemed to have more luck with his L2P/L2T and the smaller switches. But they have a very different design and need major modification of that white plastic cap..

Vectrex, I've ordered the exact same switches for my L2P, and they work perfect for me. The new switch fits perfectly in the L2P tailcap, and truth be told, you don't need that white plastic cap. The new switch is wide enough to press the silicone rubber boot firmly enough to create a proper seal.

The only hiccup I have is that because the new switch have a shorter "neck" than the old switch, there is some play when you push the rubber boot before it touches the switch. I'm still thinking of something to put in that gap. I'm sure you can just glue something on top of the switch.

I had exactly the same problem, Vectrex. I emailed Solarforce-sales (internationaltradingcompany) and asked if I could buy some of their reverse clicky switches, and the said sure, no problem. They cost $2 a piece though, quite a bit more expensive. But I didn't want to cut pieces off the original switch assembly.

Also, there are rubber..thingies with a larger "nipple".

LOL, that sounds dirty.

I think you mean these:

Uhm.. pun intended! :P

Yeah, I meant those. But there is a "nipple" (damn I cant think of a better word :D) on the inner side, and those vary. My cheap 8 bucks ebay light have flat ones while the UF980L for example has a pretty large nipple.

Gosh are we dirty, I thought this was more about flashlights rather than fleshlights. :>

So then are the L2P tail and L2T tail different as far as the internal dimensions? In the one picture I'm seeing a step down in the bore of the tailcap toward were the switch sits. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? If that true then they arent the same, because the L2P (and all other L2 I've seen) have the same bore all the way to the end. I don't have my L2T with me, but I'm quite curious and will check it out when I get home today.

Indeed there is a step down on my L2T, but my fake Solarforce L2 and UF 504B are having all the same bore diameter. I don't own a L2P yet to compare.

I'm glad they fit the 504b; the clicky on mine is weak and I already have a pack of these switches on order to fix my brother-in-law's HS-802.

Good info!
