Beefy dive flashlights

Came across the Archon series of dive flashlights. They are not budget priced ($46.67 - $476.19), but they sure look interesting and perhaps high quality? I really like the aggressive design, especially the head fins for heat dissipation. Anyone have anymore info or experience with these?

The D22 looks promising as it takes 2 x 26500 cells. Would be a great for long run times.

The D100W looks insane. 10,000 lumens and uses 12 x 18650 batteries!

Very beefy indeed! They look they have serious modding potential with all that heat sinking built into the heads.

I knew I had seen similar before for a lot less. DX actually has a similar light that would only require LED & driver upgrade. If they only sold the bare host...

Johnny,

That is a nice torch from DX. I have seen it before, but one thing I like is having the head narrower where it meets the body. I feel it gives the light a more "streamline" look. But regardless of that, the finning on that chunky head looks great. They need to post more pics of the inside to see how easily moddable it would be.

Those D100W’s cost locally here 1700$…at discount!

Then I guess a sticker of <$500 is quite a deal, provided it is the same quality.

I've seen the price vary from one place to another.

Quite a deal yes, seen this (or similar) at 700$ in Aliexpress if I don´t remember it wrong.

Before buying an Archon light, you might want to read this and this.

Didnt know that about Archon.

I wonder if the M30A is a complete clone? it looks like the Sunwayman, but that has 4xAA, and not 3 like the Archon
