This is a little spreadsheet i quickly drew up to help me find a decent EDC torch. I realised it was flawed pretty quickly, in particular the 'modes'(multiple groups/customizeable) field and 'Lumens' (claimed/Tested), but hopefully it will still be somewhat useful.

I have made it open so please feel free to edit or add, any comments or suggestions welcome. The lights included so far are ones i imagined may fit my requirements or to see how close they came.

Pros:

No PWM (not visible a must)

3 Modes (H-M-L) no flashy

Neutral tint

Must tailstand

A low low

Absolute output is quite far down the list

Floody or a nice balance, no proper throwers

Yours looks cleaner, but my spreadsheet includes weights, dimensions, and other data that help you fill in the gaps. I haven't time to edit your spreadsheet, but help yourself to the data under my two tabs.

Wow that's quite some data you have there, I'm just in from work and off to bed but I'll spend some time tomorrow looking through that. My spreadsheet was only targeting what I wanted for my ultimate EDC so its simple but lacking lol

Just buy the S-Mini. And FYI, the XM-L version is a very warm tint. THe XP-G is a cool white.

Haha, yep! Well I bought the XDtin c8 after doing this because it looks such a bargain with all those benefits. The S-mini I was going to buy but shipping is an issue :(
