Night mail

When recieving a new light in the mail, you just have to open it right away. Stick in some fresh batteries and turn it on full blast! Then that darn sunlight just kills your buzz…
The point is; why can’t you have flashlights delivered at night?

It was planned that way. If the light was delivered at night, you would grab whatever batteries were closest, run outside giggling like a little girl, and spend about 2 hours waving it around like a lightsaber making 'vwoom-vwoom' noises. By delivering during the day, that gives you time to get the matched cells you ordered with the light charged properly, thereby preventing you from over-discharging the nearly-flat cells you had removed from your old light to use in the new one!

Tongue Out

I like the idea if only because I'd be home to accept delivery when I have to sign for packages. ;)

You mean I'm supposed to wait until night to do that? Surprised

BetweenRides, well it's more effective if you do!

I'm getting sad because I get less darkness these days to play with my lights! I usually like to play with them before work / during my drive, but now it's daylight when I leave. And then it's also staying light out longer so I can play with them on the way home either! I just received a new light (the Ebay UltraOK Super Tactics thrower) that I can't wait to test!

Kreisler waits for night to test PWM. Unlike normal people who use water flowing from a faucet or observing a dogs tail to detect PWM. Note the method.

S'ok, Garry. Soon there will be more light for biking!

not a problem during winter here.

for some reason the mail has started arriving at ~1630 (used to be 1300). UPS comes about 6pm.

I prefer the former - it gives me time to disassemble and inspect for bad wiring, lack of thermal grease, etc. and get a tail cap reading before its totally dark (if it is already dark I can't resist trying it out first)
