It has a lot less people online than it used to but performance is awful.

Presumably the latest version of vBulletin is less efficient, but it really is not that good nowadays.

I have noticed that also and figured that people are getting tired of the BS.  It looks like the near future doesn't look so bright for the other guys.

They are very slow at the moment. I have noticed that too. Not that I use it

very much anymore. The budgetsection is mostly a farce. If someone ask to be

guided to a budget AA light under 15 bucks they at once start to suggest lights

which cost 50$. Stupid!

Cheap quality is good - Expensive crap isn´t

And if you recommend anything truly budget, they delete the entire thread, which happened to me when someone asked for recommendations for 3 lights from DealExtreme.

If you posted that in a German forum, you would be in serious trouble now. You might want to edit your post, before Mr. Admin will do that for you.

Good point.

But the real problem is one super-zealous and unpleasant mod. When one of the other mods is doing it the touch is much lighter. OK, the rules are stupid, but there are ways of enforcing them that have nothing to do with being obnoxious because you can. Wikipedia is equally afflicted with this sort of problem.

I think the mod was put there on purpose by the owner...
