SO, I dont know if I know correct term for that,
but I essentially need driver boards withpout a driver, for C8 and similar flashlights. I thought to buy 10 pcs for some small price, that shouldnt be expensive.
I need em for when I make some light direct drive, so that I can ppull out the driver, if it is good, and put that board instead (it would be good if it comes with spring) instead driver board.
Ive searched a little but until now no luck. Its difficult because I dont know correct term.
You are not thinking about directly connecting to the battery terminals to the LED... are you?
I know what you mean. I would maybe call them a battery contact plate. I have seen them once. It was on one of the sites like DX or KD, but they are not there now. It must have been on one of the other sites.
I do have two of them at home. When I get home, I will see if there are any identifying markings on them.
@vectrex - yes, direct drive, from the batteries to the led, via the contact plate. A driver board with no components on it, only the outer metal ring and the center metal ring.
CNQG carries them under "torch components."

That's a very relative statement. 
For some reason, they are listed as 'baffle plates.'
