OK, so I just received those batteries ("3000" TF ones)today and would like to test them on my Surefire or Solarforce but MÄHHH, they don't fit.
Is it possible to cut away the outer plastic foil/wrap or is that now safe? Does anyone have experience if there are some problems occuring with doing that and if it will solve the problem? They are still charging now and I bought them for my never used yet DRY where they do fit after unscrewing the battery holder a little bit but I also wanted to use them for ms Surefire.
I've been using Wolf-Eyes 18650 for all those years before but am kinda tired of them. I never had a problem with them to fit... or am I missing something?
Now I have another question: Will any high capacity (2600mh-3100mh) 18650s fit in a Surefire? I don't mind getting an AW or Redilast, my question is will it FIT?
As was pointed out no 18650 will fit in a Surefire 6P unless you have had it bored out. Is yours bored out?
Otherwise, they are only designed for (2)Cr123.
I've just been doing some research and a whole world collapsed in front of my eyes. I've been using 17670s (Wolf-Eyes) all those years withoug knowing it. I always thought it were 18650s and had different brands of 18650s throughout the years. The cells nearly look the same, the 18s are of course bigger but I never bothered checking why... JESUS!
Now those Sanyos look good to me but are they going to be better then the AWs here?
