Howdy All. I just had a nice night-time ride home on my bicycle. I had a couple of single 18650 SSCP7 torches rubber mounted on my handlebar, while shining a SkyRay STL-V2 around looking at coyotes, barn owls, and hares around the bike trail. Usually, I'm a flood junkie; but this Throw adventure was quite fun. Since my STL-V2 uses two 18650s w/ its 62mm head, what other throwers out there might be MORE impressive than my thrower? 3 or more 18650s is what I'm thinking. Is it true that a serious emitter paired along w/ massive smooth reflector is better than a 3-5 emitter "cluster" light? Thanks Much!
For throw, yes.
About the better throwers: FF STL-V6 (= SR STL-V2) is currently the best budget thrower. You can buy some throwers that throw a bit better, but then again they are priced (much) higher. [Sorry that I couldn't help you more, maybe Rikr or someone else can continue helping you?]
