I cannot find anything like those anywhere. Does anyone know where to get an 18650 Dummy Battery?
I got that SF L2X 2x18650 body for 19.00, but i only want to run one battery in it.
I found some CR123 dummy batteries at battery junction http://www.batteryjunction.com/dummy-cr123a.html
Do you think I could use two of those instead, if i cant find any 18650?
Well, you could write to solarforce-sales where you got your L2X extended, and ask them if they sell you one. Likely they will.
You could also make your own. Get a piece of 18 mm aluminium rod from your lokal hardware store and put a piece of shrink wrap over it for insulation.
Personally, I would use wood (because I happen to have a 18 mm round bar at hand), drill a hole through it and put in a thin brass rod.
Take some pictures of your build if you do one, it will be very appreciated around here :)
I can make you a billet one for a couple of bucks, if needed.
Im going to try to put a thich guage copper wire through a wooden dowel and then grind down the tip of the wire to button top shape, but that might prove to be costly. Depends on how much thick copper wire costs at HomeDepotLowes. So I may just take you up on that offer. Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I was over-thinking it, I think..
As nice as billet would be, I think that's a great idea. Enough bare copper wire to make several will cost you less than the dowel.
