Just a heads up that BugOutGear is looking for US based testers of the revised Intellicharge i4. Sysmax seems to have sorted out the bugs that afflicted v1 but as the issue was due to glitches in compatibility w/110-120v thus they are looking for someone in the US, otherwise HKJ would've been a natural choice since he tested v1.
Glenn, perhaps this may be a good opportunity to test out that newly acquired 289?
That's a nice charger, but every time I go to CPF the mods are f-ing with somebody I feel stupider for reading the post. I was going to volunteer to test it since I have a Fluke 189 and have done some battery reviews, but I want nothing to do with CPF at this point in my life.
As mentioned they are specifically looking for someone in the US as the major problem with the v1's was that it went haywire when run off the 120V outlet vs. a 12v adapter.
HKJ, perhaps if you have a step down transformer that can emulate 120V/60HZ they might send another to you for testing? It'd make perfect sense since you tested the first one and are familiar w/the quirks of the charger as detailed in your review.
Glenn, I'd do it but given I had initially ordered two and sent back to dealer fully reimbursed including shipping. To make things right, they are sending me two v2's free (kudos to Sysmax and BugOutGear for this outstanding service)! Thus I don't want to test this to allow someone else to do so.
I think they've filled one spot w/2 more so if anyone is interested feel free to reply to that thread.
