got one for my cousin..it's a fake 504b..not saying it's a bad light just isn't a genuine 504b..body is light and feels cheap..drop-in is decent though! no complaints..pulls pretty good (2.5a~) and has a decent tint..
Agreed, does not feel like genuine UF product compared to my 501a achieved from Manafont.

yeah I got a 501b from manafont and a 502b and they are much more solid..
I have 3 of the DD 504b's. Wondered if they were the real thing or not, but as Pounder and CheapThrills say, pretty good for the $. So a 504b from Manafont is likely to be a 'genuine' UF? Anywhere else known to sell real UFs?
Thx pounder. Dunno how I missed that thread. I agree 100% about the drop-in being decent. Bright, lovely beam and tint, perfect (for me) 2 level output spacing, no PWM on low..
So these fakes are actually 4th generation clones! DD(etc)<UF<SolarForce<Surefire..
Pity the genuine Manafont ones no longer have the anti-roll hex collars. Love that feature.

nice thing about the DD 504B's is they had no bad PWM . and spanky cheap ..
SO..... the manafont 501a's were real????? and someone said the 501B's were real from manfont ?? wow mine from manfont last year were nasty nasty fakes and the 501A from dino a stinky bad fake too..I assumed there were no real ones available at all .....grrr.
I may have just got lucky, but I bought this host from Manafont about a month ago...
...and my sample DID have the anti-roll hex! It's in the photos on the MF website as well. I'm not sure if that means it's a fake or what, but I was happy to get that feature.

don't have a fake to compare it to, but I got a 502b for my co-worker and it seemed legit..I got a 501b body from manafont and it seemed legit also..who knows though..they could all be fakes lol
