SC600 vs UltraFire UF-T50

I got my UF-T50 the other day and I'm impressed. It might have been talked about here but if so, I haven't seen it. The T50 looks somewhat like the Zebralight and it's very bright. I'm wondering how it compares with the SC600 in output? Anyone have or both?

I wrote a mini-review here:

I really like this torch, and recently had to order it again. It was borrowed and never returned, so someone else liked it too. :)

I would really like to see a comparison also. From what I have read, I like the qualities and abilities of the ZL but prefer the price of the UF-T50. (big surprise)

I have the UF-T50 and the SC600. Just got the UF-T50 a few days ago directly from UltraFire, and my SC600 is the latest Cool White version that I bought directly from Zebralight. Both are very well made and excellent lights but the SC600 is slightly smaller and brighter.

The first pic shows them side by side. The pic's a bit distorted but the UF-T50 is 4 1/2" long and the SC600 is 4 1/4".

The second pic shows beamshots taken against my garage. The UF-T50 has a whiter light and the hotspot is more concentrated, while the SC600's beam has more flood.

Measured both in one of my lightboxes and got 5500 lux from the UF-T50 and 6500 from the SC600. NOTE: These readings are NOT comparable to other readings I posted in another thread.

Awesome, thanks for the comparison! I have the SC600w and am VERY happy with it. I still can't believe how small it is. It is only slightly bigger than my AA lights, the side clicky is beautiful and the UI is perfect. I can't stand the ramping on my ultrafire UF-H3b headlamp so I didn't want that UI in a flashlight.

Thanks a lot for the comparison 1/4 inch longer with magnet and hotter hotspot and cheaper , I now am satisfied the uf t50 is worth every penny:)

Thanks for the comparison. That is what I have been looking for.

Seriously, stop spamming.

The ultrafire has a more concentrated hotspot which appears brighter in the pix l yet the zl has higher lux readings???

Does it suffer bad PWM at dimmer settings like the H3b does?

To my eyes it’s fine. I don’t notice anything. Some may be more sensitive.

Yes, T50 has higher lux/1m reading while SC600 is brighter overall thus higher lightbox result.

That’s because those were raw lux readings taken from one of my lightboxes, not straight beamshots.

Here are beamshot lux readings, taken at the center of the hotspot of each light at 5, 10, 15 and 20 feet:
Ultrafire UF-T50: 3150, 830, 380, 220
Zebralight SC600: 1630, 520, 240, 150
