I was looking for Sipik/clones on AliExpress and came across some an adjustable focus AA flashlight I didn't immedietly recognise. It had some rather weird looking diagrams
which looked too professional to be coming from some Chinese seller or a basically unbranded light (Ultrafire). Both also described the focus as "advanced focus system". Based on this, I quickly worked out this was a Led Lenser trademark and the images unsurprisingly are coming from them. And from that, it was easy to work out these lights are clones of the LED Lenser P5. The second one even includes the images of the Len Lenser UI with modes. I doubt the clone is that fancy (including the turbo mode) but it would be nice if it is multimode. The description does claim it's dimmable but doesn't mention modes and since the other one doesn't and these don't seem that common, I somewhat doubt it's multimode. But I have asked the seller.
A quick search didn't find any real discussion of Led Lenser P5 clones. Someone on Youtube claimed they got some from Meritline but a quick look there doesn't find it for sale. Either it's gone (Led Lenser could have complained) or they were confused with the Sipik. The first seller has sold quite a few so there's feedback, but none of it is particularly informative. Presuming it really has a Cree, I guess it's an XP-E Q3 or Q5 like the Sipiks seem to be.
But anyway while I think these are larger then the Sipiks, perhaps an interesting alternative if you're getting bored or just never liked them. I myself might get one if it's really multimode (or the seller at least claims it is in reply).
