Money clips and cardholders, do you use?

Ok, since you guys have as EDC pretty much everything, I bet someone can recommend a decent yet budget moneyclip.

I just a minute ago bought to my friend one of these "magic money clips":

Any idea if they are any good, paid 10$ from it.

Buddy was going to buy locally an aluminum card case (China made) for over 40$!

I, like my father, am a money clip man. Not budget, but probably one of the best you can buy:

Guaranteed for life, made of brass. I've had mine for about 15 years. It's been my experience that brass holds up the best. Silver is too soft, will end up stretching out if you put too much money in it.

A 1/4" to 1/2" wide rubber band in the appropriate diameter is a great money clip . Light , flexible , comfortable , easy to replace , won't fall out of your pocket like a metal money clip and best of all , budget .

Don't carry either. On any day.

Cash - well I work for The Man so there isn't much of that. On any day....

Actually, in my case I work for The Woman - who happens to be a male rich kid these days. But he wishes he was the Thatcher. My brother escorted the Bitch from Hell (AKA Margaret Thatcher - may she rot in Hell forever) with a sword in his hand and didn't use it. For which I can never forgive him.

See the Sermon on the Mound for why the Bitch from Hell needed to be removed from the ranks of those who require oxygen.

My father has a beautiful silver money clip and I guess I loved playing with it as a kid but I never got into using one. I'm stuck using wallets. Maybe someday, when I inherit his silver money clip, I will -- but hopefully that won't be for a long, long time.

An observation on money clips that utilize spring clips. I've had them for the past thirty years and the springs (spring steel) have always failed by breaking. Different amounts of bills from thick to thin will stress it over time. I will not buy another with a spring clip.

The magnet type clips are good...but don't clench as tightly as spring types and are bulkier.

Tradeoffs and allowances....geeshh.

Hmm, I might add, that I would myself use rather a small wallet / card case rather than just a plain moneyclip.

A case like for 1 - 2 cards is sufficient and some bills.

Any recommendations, metal, plastic, any?

I've recently been using a Sanrenmu 711 as a money/card clip.

I have never used them, I am used to the wallet for notes, and the coins just in the pocket.

Not a problem I've had to face since joining BLF :\

Ha! So true.

i use an alumawallet. $6, ollies bargain outlet

I don't carry cash unless i'm travelling.

I want this and will someday carry it daily, despite the bulk

Only ever used a wallet. I got a good one from the US called a BIG Skinny. Great slim wallet

That's what I use on the rare occasion I don't want my regular wallet with me.

There's even a company that sells an overpriced rubber band for this purpose: http://www.money-band.com (and they got it wrong - it should have been sized for the narrower dimension of the card. well, at least offer that also)
