when charging two batteries and both are charged? Just bought one of these and didn't see anyone mention it in reviews or comments, nor is there anything about it in the instruction sheet. FYI, I have one of the later XTAR WP2 IIs with the corrected charge setting switch labels and was charging these protected 3100mAhs: http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-chargers/protected-3100mah-18650-li-ion-battery-cell-is-panasonic-ncr18650a-protection-ic-made-in-japan-top-button/
Made sure the batteries were making contact and it's not the batteries because it happens even when I switch them around. I get a red light from the LED above the right bay until the battery's charged. Then it goes out but the LED above the left bay stays on and green after the battery in the left bay is charged.
Not heard of that happening. Mine doesn't go out, they both turn green, although independantly of each other. Sounds like your right bay might simply have a faulty green LED, in which case 'no LED' showing would work as an full charge indicator just as well as 'green'.
I think you're right about the faulty LED. At first I thought it might be a quirk like the switch settings or instructions. In any event, it's new so I'm sending it back.
It is easy to check. If that battery from the right channel is 4.19V +/- that means LED is not working.
I was asking because Xtar WP2 II with 0, .5A, and 1A are the latest edition of that charger. First version of WP2 II was 0, 1, and 2 printed above the switch.
Xtar is making pretty good chargers, and flashlights... Well, quality control missed this one
I just recently bought a new xtar wp2 II charger from sbflashlights and asked for the latest edition. My charger still has 0/1/2 for the switch. Has anyone actually received a version with the 0/0.5A/1A switch?
Damn you, I ordered EagleTac 3100s for $15.99 each shipped and thought I got the best deal for those Panny cells, now seeing these I could have got them for $3 less per cell, wish I would have see this last week, lol.
