Well , my Imax B6 died a sudden and horrendous death the other week , . This left me without a charger/discharger/balance charger/hobby charger (that might cover everything) . So in need of a replacement , I went for the Turnigy Accucel-8 150W 7A Balancer/Charger

Im currently playing with it [ testing ] , and after a bit of a work out , will hopefully do a review .

So far so good , Im using a old [ very old ] AT power supply , used the MM to find the 12v lines , and a few mods and its a great power source for hobby chargers .

Only just charged the first battery , a 3s pack for my Helicopters .

Charge rate was 1A and it seemed to do it real easy [ stayed cool the entire time ] , so look forward to playing with it some more [ sorry testing some more ]

Should be some 18650's in the mail , so look forward to giving them a work out .

Does yours have the USB output, and if so, does it work?

USB ?

Dont know , havent tried it ...

Didnt come with any supporting software or anything ... + what plug is that ?

Do I need one?

Try LogView, it suppors many chargers.

The "temp sensor" is a input for a NTC temperatur sensor resistor, somewhere in the configuration you can specify a maximum temperature.

I want one

Yep, as stated logview should work if the USB socket is live (mini USB-B). Unfortunately, Turnigy seem to have made different versions of this charger at different times, some with the USB function and some without. Even without the USB function, some chargers have had the port blanked off, while others still have a USB socket. I was particularly miffed having bought one of these, specifically wanting to connect it to my PC, having the USB port, and yet not being able to get any response from the USB. Still trying to work out if there is any way to get it working.....

Thats what I read the other day , some say no USB function ... Its not that important to me ..

I purchased a cable just in case it does work , and downloaded LogView ... (just in case)

If there is no USB function , its no deal breaker , charging a 3s lipo now @ 1A and its ice cold , the Imax B6 got warm charging @ 1A , which is why I never liked charging over 1A , even though it should be capable of up to 5A , I will try 2A next time the cell needs charging to see how the charger handles it .
