Shallowlight is bright!!!

I recently got a common yellow divelight from BuyInCoins. This is a light with a TIR lens, Q5 emitter and 4xAA power source. It is surprisingly bright with a perfect tight focus. Link is here: http://www.buyincoins.com/details/cree-q5-led-waterproof-diving-flashlight-torch-120lm-product-7430.html My question is, the light has a magnetic switch but I found this a bit fragile in looks. The size is perfect with a side switch. Could anyone have seen one with a regular side switch?

Thanks for sharing! Been looking at this light and thinking about its throw and battery runtime.
As I understand its single mode? Can you post beam shots, runtime and how far it throw - beamshots as well :)?!

I'm afraid I gave it to a friend with scuba stars. But it is still a useful light for land use. I haven't used it extensively to measure the heat buildup. I guess it will be ok for underwater usage.

The beam is an intensive hotspot, with very little spill and artifacts. It is even better than my own Carlco build. It is single mod.

Is the bezel on this light aluminum or plastic? I work in a power plant location where, for safety reasons, metal-bodied lights are not allowed. I haven't seen any budget lights that would satisfy this requirement... This one looks nice, and running on common AA cells is nice too...

I don't use dive lights, so what's the big blue ring?

I'm pretty sure the bezel is metal. Looks like a copy of a LED Lenser D14.

Bezel looks like aluminum but may be tin. Gray and cold but looks painted. Its material is thin, and there are acrylic threads under it. There is only a single blue o ring keeping the water out. It might need some silicone grease for better protection. There is a spare oring.

The light has a very good size, better than a Fenix Ld40. The magnetic switch is true, off in straight, on in tilted positions. I wish it had an out of water version for household use. I saw a Poplite branded one with a push switch but it was over $80.
