Looking for 20mm drivers...ya, good luck

Does anyone have any resource that has a halfway decent 20mm driver? I'd love something in the 1A-2A range, and something hotter...but beggars can't be choosers. I'm not able to locate much worth mentioning...I realize it's not a popular item, but I have a few lights that take them and I'd like to make them useable.

If you don't find any, I can always make some press-fit adapters for you to utilize the more common 16-17mm variety.

What kind of driver?

Boost? Buck? Both? Linear?

I love the idea of an adapter, Wayne...hmmm...

As far as more specifics, I have at least 3 projects that run 3xaa and I plan on using nimh...so 4.2v should be fine. As slim as pickins are, I'd be happy to have any 20mm driver that didn't have flashies, and I'll deal with the rest as it comes.

it's on the spendy side, but the taskled Lflex is an awesome driver, comes in at 20mm and would be ideal for a 3xNiMh/ 1 LED set up

HOLY Hannah...that's expensive! Looks like a great driver though...thanks

yeah, I know. The functions (overtemp, undervoltage, UI, modes etc) and customer service are well worth it though. I've used a lot of taskled drivers for bike lights and they're pretty much the best out there.

Buying 3 would be a bit painful though..

How about a botch job? If you have enough "headroom" in your pill, get one of these "baffle plates", connect the driver of your liking to the one side, and put the plate where you would put your 20 mm driver. You will need to sand this one down bit:

Or you etch one yourself. It's not difficult, and the bare circuit board doesn't cost much.
