Dorcy CyberLight (aka Dorcy 41-4750) 4 x AA

I just bought this for one of my brothers.

I actually bought him a XM-L P60 with charger and batteries but he said he would rather my Tank TK-566 instead because it uses AA's and he has a lot of rechargeable AA's.

It's $18 but it ended up costing me $25 delivered to Australia, more than I think its worth but I couldn't find a better one at a good price in this format.

I would have loved to have bought him the JetBeam PA40 but at $70 its a bit too expencive for a gift, that plus if I get one I will keep it for myself

Anyway, I will try to do somewhat of a mini review when it gets here as I haven't seen many pics or comments about it.

I think I saw one of those at sears or home depot or maybe ace hardware. Not too shabby so I might have to take a second look at it. Not sure what the price was though.

You could get them for $15 from Amazon in the USA but the only ones that delivered to Australia were $18.

They have a XR-E, so its a pretty decent thrower for the non flashaholic that doesn't want lithium batteries and "special chargers".

I'll still check my local stores because I might get lucky and find it on sale. I like that it's a 4*AA torch because I can use some of my eneloops that are dust collectors.

Looks to be quite the thrower!

I have one, it is an XR-E emitter. I like the light, but it has a very small hotspot and not much spill, so yes, it is a thrower. I like that fact that it is a nice size, doesn't freeze your hands on a cold night, and the yellow is easy to find when you can't remember where you set it down.

It throws as far as a p-60, but you lose all the spill that makes a p60 so awesome. Limited useage because of the very tight hotspot.

I got this today and took it to my brothers house to give to him tonight.

I'm very impressed and so is he, it lit up the tree line in his back yard about 150 meters away (500 feet) and that was just with the crappy batteries that come with it.

Some Ternigy LSD AA's coming in the mail for him as well.

This is a close to perfect non flashaholic flashlight.

I agree, although I wish it had a bit more spill to it. If they would put an XP-G in that sucker instead of the XR-E, it would be an even more awesome light.
