Hello Bouyar, I'm sending you a PM.

Welcome to BLF, bouyar. Let's see some more flashlights!

Welcome!

Would have loved to seen a xml version though..

Welcome to BLF, Bouyar! Some more detailed specs on your light would be greatly appreciated. What type of ano does it have? Does it come with any other driver/emitter options?

I am not really seeing anything interesting or new here. I mean, a Q5 Cree? That could be anything: An XR-E, an XP-E, XT-E, XB-D, who knows? I assume XR-E, but there are tons and tons of similar lights.

ALL lights are anodized with HA2 or HA3.

Power 5 Watts is an approximation and probably not accurate or helpful. Even if its an XR-E at 1 amp, thats 3.7 Vf times 1amp = 3.7 Watts

You are gonna have to work on that naming convension too. "Rechargable flashlight" isn't exactly catchy. :-)

+ 1

well said.

i sent a similar "message" to Bronte, unasked, telling them that their lights arent interesting or extraordinary. there are enough buyers on this forum who welcome any new brand and like any new light because they are really into lights ( ) but i told Bronte that i am not one of them. first i go after looks, then look for their uniqueness or specialty or *why* i should find it more interesting or relevant than any of my well-chosen possessions which are hard to beat.

performance data could be one good point where a light may excel. Zebralight is a good example: their drivers are highly efficient on Eneloops and even beats Quarks. The rest of a zebra? Imho very meh incl their prices. And i really dislike ZL designs, a matter of taste.

and regarding reviews (Bronte, Rofis, ..), i only review lights when i (already!) know that the light beats my existing lights and there's more to appreciate about it than about mine.

It's good to have you here, bouyar!

Aloha and welcome to BLF Bouyar!

Those aren't clearly defined -- sometimes they're just words added in advertising.

They need to say whether they're referring to an actual anodizing spec.

For example http://www.anodizing.org/Reference/reference_guide.html

I'm sure some of my budget lights are painted black, not anodized at all.

Anodizing wouldn't wear off the corners exposing bare metal in a week of being carried in a pocket.

I learned a lot from your comments, I am a flashlight sales in a factory too.
