Aldi North offers a set of 8 AAA LSD batteries for only €4.59 on the upcoming 19.4.2012. Found it via Mydealz.de . 0.57€ per piece is not bad imho.
now we know where you live :p
;)
AA: have tested two cells so far:
1)1737mAh
2)1773mAh
@ 1 Amp from full charge to 0,9V
AAA: tested 4 so far, out of the box between 630 and 650mAh.
I am doing a 180mA discharge right now.
Bought myself 2x4 AAs today, if I do not put in some lights or GPS they are at least good for remotes :-)
@neverfeltbetter: what was the voltage of the cells?
I hope you charge them after the out of the box test to their max an d repaet the discharge? I guess/hope they will be close or above 2000mAh.
OT: I have the luck to live right at a borderline of the North and South "A" :-)
I do not remember. I think they were all above 1,3V.
17xxmAh is in fact the AA from FULL charge down to 0,9V @1 Amp.
Not even close to the stated 2100.
I will do a 500mA discharge next. Maybe this will yield more than 2000mAh.
I use the Accucell 6, my Eneloops are usually around 1900 @ 1A, so either there is something wrong with the connection or the cells aren't that good.
The capacity of those batteries is lower than the older versions.
These are a bit over 2000mAh:
And these AA's are a little bit under 2000mAh, and the AAA's are even more than the 800mAh that is printed on the package:
But all of them are still working perfect, the oldest Top Craft Precharged i use are about 3 years old. Non-LSD batteries usually don't work very well after 3 years, because the capacity is lower and the selfdischarge much higher (most of them are already recycled after 3 years)...
ok, with the AAA I get between 730 and 760mAh @ 180mA
I just discharged the best of the 4 AAA I tested @500mA and got 652
I discharged one AA @500mA and I got 1784mAh vs. 1737@1A. That annoys me. I hope these have a decent cycle life.
Have a great weekend everybody.
