China Post Registered Mail Steps

Below is Can somebody with a recently completed order received via China Post with list the steps the package went through until it was delivered.?

I'm hoping this will help me translate what I know about my order timeline shown below.

4/12 Ordered, Tangshuiwei (Shenzhen) vendor, payment acknowledged (AliExpress escrow)

4/13 email received with tracking number as shipped

4/16 Acceptance per both China Post and USPS trackers (same tracking number for both)

4/17 Total export package interoperability seal opening(?), Shanghai Intl, China Post (Status on China Post)

4/18 The total export package straight seal sealing, Shanghai Intl, China Post (Status on China Post)

4/18 Processed through sort facility Shanghai, USPS tracker

4/21 The importing office of exchange New York, China Post

Updates:

4/21 Processed through sort facility ISC New York NY, USPS tracker

4/23 Processed through USPS sort facility Wallingford CT, USPS tracker

4/23 Depart USPS sort facility Wallingford CT, USPS tracker

These last 2 steps continue through additional interim USPS sorting facilities (3 of them for my package) until the package gets to the place where it will be assigned to a PO employee as the carrier.

4/26 Arrival at unit (the local PO)

4/26 Delivered(!)

14 days from order to expected receipt (ordered on Thursday night in US/early Friday AM in China) . . 10 days from 1st sign of life at the PO (Monday).

It's not at all clear who has the order, or where it is now. As of today USPS status is: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment (We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.) This sounds like maybe China Post still hasn't delivered it to USPS, or that USPS received and processed it, but hasn't sent it from their facility yet.

This was my first order using China Post. I recently received a purchase from the UK via Royal Mail in less than 1 week, really just about 3 days from mailing. The prospect of waiting longer for international mail now just seems like forever in comparison.

Looks like it has passed from China post to USPS on the 18th?

That's what I'm hoping but the Status should have been updated to en route or something.

Delivered today . . all seems good . . hope this thread helps somebody else out there.

This has been my experience as well.

The one thing I can't ever seem to get is China Post tracking. They have www sites out there to track China Post numbers... but I have NEVER gotten one of my numbers to actually register and appear on their system. It usually takes about a week & a half for the number to show on the USPS tracking site, and I can easily track it form there.

Have any of you been able to use China Post tracking?...

Yes, I posted that I could use China Post. Had to use Google Translate to get the machine responses posted above in English. Even now, I can still review the item tracking status on my package even though it was delivered a couple days ago. China and US tracking apparently overlap until the package clears customs.

I got the tracking number on Friday from the seller but couldn't see movement activity on the China Post website until Monday for whatever reason (same thing can happen with UPS who doesn't process late packages here locally on weekends)

Hi Guys,

I have couple of questions,

1) China air post status shows my package is in Beijing International, from China it should reach to India. From the comments above I see that the package will be handed over to respective countries postal services from China air post. The same tracking number(RAXXXXXXCN) works in our country postal tracking systems(ex. USPS) or it will be different, if so, how can we get that tracking number.

Can anyone throw light on this.

When I track my items in china post website it shows this, on 4th May the status was updated and till now there is no update :(, I have checked with india post and tracked with the same number but no result for that tracking number.. Any help ?

This site helped me understand when my package was turned over to USPS before I understood that from the China Post website . . have you tried it?

If this doesn't help, it may be that the India service works differently, and/or that they still haven't gotten the package out of Bejiing.

Also, have you tried asking at India Post customer service if they can help you track it?

You're quite welcome . . if you got some interesting gear, look for the 'What I Got Today' thread and share! I've got a couple more packages coming via HK Post also for the first time. They seem to have held my packages in HK for nearly a week before processing. Was surprised they took so much longer than CP did. Still hopeful I'll get them this week, though.
