Do you go to a particular forum, or do you use "recent post"s" button? I use the recent post tab most of the time. Opinion"s/thoughts would be good. I would like to know how others use this board with reason"s for so doing. Is one (forums or recent posts) better than the other? Thanks.
I seldom browse the forums links; I just monitor the Recent Posts throughout the day. If I'm looking for something in particular (e.g. researching a particular dealer or browsing flashlight reviews) I'll hit the 'forums' link.
Yep, same here. Mostly 'recent posts' mixed with 'my watched posts' on a 50/50 basis. I use 'Search' and 'Forums' for specific info. A good example of this occurred earlier today.
I was reading ezarc's Trustfire Z2 review here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/8211 He doesn't provide a link, but I thought I remembered seeing this torch at Manafont so I did a search and whilst there I also happened to come across a torch I'd never seen before: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/trustfire-tr801-3mode-memory-led-flashlight-118650-p-5554
It looked interesting, so I typed it into the search engine. Led me to this thread https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/688 and I ordered the light from the link in post #1. Which reminds me, I still have to decide whether or not to buy a Z2. Expensive business, this BLF-ing :\
I have fell into an unplanned routine, more or less in this order:
1. Answer all my PMs.
2. Scan recent posts for anything interesting while being aware of threads I may have started/needs a response. I'll usually go back 4 or 5 pages . . .
3. Click "My Watched Posts" and cruise through, clicking on anything new.
