How do you all use this board?

Do you go to a particular forum, or do you use "recent post"s" button? I use the recent post tab most of the time. Opinion"s/thoughts would be good. I would like to know how others use this board with reason"s for so doing. Is one (forums or recent posts) better than the other? Thanks.

Keith

I seldom browse the forums links; I just monitor the Recent Posts throughout the day. If I'm looking for something in particular (e.g. researching a particular dealer or browsing flashlight reviews) I'll hit the 'forums' link.

Yep...recent posts on a reg basis and forum section when specific info is required.

same here + the search tool ;)

I just click the budgetlightforum.com text up the top right to see new posts.

I don't often go to separate sections unless I am looking for something specific.

+1 I spend most of my time on the Home Page picking topics that interest me from all over. Use forums for specific research.

Same here.

It would be nice to have a little bit longer list of topics on the front page, don't you think?

Same here. My BLF link in favorites go directly to recent posts.

i go to recent post but i also click on "my watched posts" to see if any threads that i am involved with have activity.

I generally just use "recent posts" unless I need something specific.

Yep, same here. Mostly 'recent posts' mixed with 'my watched posts' on a 50/50 basis. I use 'Search' and 'Forums' for specific info. A good example of this occurred earlier today.

I was reading ezarc's Trustfire Z2 review here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/8211 He doesn't provide a link, but I thought I remembered seeing this torch at Manafont so I did a search and whilst there I also happened to come across a torch I'd never seen before: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/trustfire-tr801-3mode-memory-led-flashlight-118650-p-5554

It looked interesting, so I typed it into the search engine. Led me to this thread https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/688 and I ordered the light from the link in post #1. Which reminds me, I still have to decide whether or not to buy a Z2. Expensive business, this BLF-ing :\

would definately like to see this happen

Hi Keith. If you ever work it out please let me know as most of the time I'm here I think I'm in a education department full of clowns. Sealed

I have fell into an unplanned routine, more or less in this order:

1. Answer all my PMs.

2. Scan recent posts for anything interesting while being aware of threads I may have started/needs a response. I'll usually go back 4 or 5 pages . . .

3. Click "My Watched Posts" and cruise through, clicking on anything new.

4. PM Boaz so we can make fun of somebody.

I have a book-mark that goes to "recent posts", so I just check that for interesting things.

Then I check the AA and AAA sub-forums...But recent posts is good, you get a variety of different stuff.

I use it as a distraction from work.

I will start using "watched posts" also. I lose track and may miss a post I am interested in.

Keith

just recent posts

My BLF routine.

1. I check out the "review area" of the home page for any announcements from sb.

2. I read my PMs.

3. I look over Deal Alerts.

4. I go through Recent Posts, usually in reverse chronological order.

Ditto. From there I just follow my rivitless attention span
