welp, all the sudden this light doesnt seem to work... I put a battery in it, it worked fine, I took it apart to take the photo's below... put it back together, put a battery in it, it worked, so i put it back into its box. Someone just asked me to check the memory on it. Took it out of the box, put a battery in..and... nothing.

I wil relist it when i figure out what happened. Driver probably borked...

WooHoo! found a "Deleted" thread to play with!

sorry, had to do it. OK, so I too just got this flashlight from fleabay. After I ordered, did a search of 950L, and find it is the exact same light as the Keygos KE-5 and Ultrafire U80 (link), really glad I got it. Flashlight from US seller came in bad packaging, no padding, purdy durrdy, so i unscrewed the parts like the pictures above to wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, assemble it again... No light. sheet... remembered reading this thread a few days ago, so I disassemble and reassemble a few times, and light finally works. I can't imagine this thing having a bad electrical connection or a short somewhere, as you can see from OPs pictures, the parts are pretty standand and straightforward, so I don't know why I had to take it apart a few times for it to work again. To be clear, mine are not the ones OP listed for sale here, but it had the same problem, albeit briefly.

anyhow, when the light finally came on... that's some bloody wicked throw! Every bit as bright as those beamshots in that Keygos KE-5 review. 2.1A on High, 0.8A Med. pretty impressed with my first XM-L thrower, which cost the same as all the other xm-l c8 on fleabay.

tl;dr BeamTech BT-950L is a worthy alternatve to the Keygos KE-5 or Ultrafire U80. Blinders, did you figure out what's wrong with yours?

Looks to me as though the edge of the driver is NOT soldiered to the brass rim! It probably makes connection sometimes without, but should be soldiered. I have seen some of mine come through like this.

I took apart and the led star fell into my hand. However, it solder contacts were still good, the wires seem to have just come apart in the middle, very strange. I will have to replace those wires and it will be fine, just havnt found the time yet.
