Charging a 26650

Can you use a Xtar wp6II ? On Charging 26650 battery....

I use my WP2 v2 to charge mine, although I can only use 1 bay, you should be able to do it, possibly even 3 at a time.

If not here is a cheap charger i liked

Thanks guys for your recommendations I bought two of these from Hank @ IO where I bought the king kongs also.

The charger you linked only charger's at 0.65 amps thats a bit low and would be really really slow for charging 26650,s the one i linked charges at 1.5 amps and would charge 3 x 26650's in the time the charger you linked could charge just over 1 x 26650. Plus it looks like you would have to cut of the plug and add your own say if you need a EU or AU plug so it might only be suitable to US buyers, Not just use an old power cord you had sitting around your house and plug it into the charger like i did.

Are you saying the ones I ordered from Hank those I just posted wont work the best? Can I use my Xtar Wp6II ?

I'm saying it will take approx 15 + hours to charge a fully depleted 26650 with the charger you linked and the XTAR - WP6 if you can get the 26650's to fit. Do not leave any charger on over night or unattended. Maybe read the edited post i made on post #4

So then this one will work out good for my 26650, Will the other two I ordered from IO work ok charging 18650 or will it take all day to?

edit: Thank you benckie....

cool thank you bose301s

Yes the one i linked IMO it will work well and will charge a lot faster (around 1/3 the time approx) then the charger you linked from IO at 0.65 amps thats more suited for 18650 IMO not big 26650 cell's. I would cancel the order from IO if you already have a Xtar wp 6 II.

If your after good protected 26650 batteries this test/review might interest you the batteries are from the same seller.

Protected Trustfire 26650 5000 mAh Battery

FYI the Xtar wp 6 II charges at 0.60 amps more suited for 18650's or smaller cell's. The Xtar wp 2 II can charge at 0.5 amps or 1 amp.

Yes the light would not last as long becuase 26650's give you more run time and more time between charging. the voltage is the same, so the light will not be any brighter it will just run longer.

I understand ...like running a rcr123 against a 18650.. Thanks alot tonight for your help, gotta get to to sleep now.

Another option, if it is 1 amp per bay it would be good, if it is 1 amp in total (0.5 amp a bay) it still would be a lot quicker to use the single bay charger i reviewed and linked.

TrustFire Dual Channel Li-ion Battery Charger For 26650/25500/26700/18650/16340 - TR006 (US Plug)

At lest it too has a common power cord easy for us Aussie's to swap out, same for the guys in Europe And it looks like it has a female plug on the side for 12 volt cigarette lighter.

Could Manafont tell us if this charger can do the 1 amp per bay?

They might not know, they would have to ask trustfire, they have the same time zome as me in W.A

Earlier today got a reply from Manafont, the double trustfire charger is 1 amp per bay, it would be a good buy to me if you needed a 26650 charger a big bonus would be it does not have a fixed power cord like some or an external power supply with a foreign country wall plug so you can easily swap it and maybe (looks like) if it takes cigarette lighter cord with a small male plug of the end as i have heaps of spares of both.
