1xaaa Question maybe more

I'm looking for a 1xaaa lite to round out the bottom of my lites. In looking at what's available, there are some that use alkaline and ni mh and others that use those plus lithium as do many lites. I'm sure the lithium powered lite would be the brightest, but would that same lite using a ni mh be as bright as the lite that doesn't use a lithium? Does that make sense? I know it depends on the led, but i always kinda wondered bout that in considering lites.

I have the Tank 007 E09 and love it! I've only used an alkaline in it and it's still very impressive! Search the various reviews here for output on Alkaline vs. NiMh vs. Li-Ion.

I'll throw in another vote for the Tank007 E09! (Now where's Kreisler? Laughing)

Mine is very bright, even when running on Alkaline cells. I have used it some with Li-ion cells as well; my main concern is that it doesn't take protected cells. I don't have any NiMh cells to test with though...

Some users have reported that their emitters are slightly off-center resulting in a different beam profile, but mine has been very nice. It has a warmer tint than my other typical cool-white lights. It's not quite a warm, but noticeably different; maybe a neutral tint? It has much better color rendering than any of my other lights.

When you have a couple of hours, read Kreisler's exhaustive write-up here...

( i was surfing webpages for the perfect branded multitool.. keeps me very busy hehe )

since the E09 is rather bright on Eneloops it isnt muuuch brighter with LiIon's. I like my E09 and LD01 equally, both run on 10440's perfectly well and safe so far :=)

It's clearly summer. Bright nights and all. :)

Soon it will be winter again, so you'd better start searching for the perfect flashlight. Maybe they'll be able to ship it "soon" and you might be lucky and get it before Christmas. ;)

When you find it, please show your findings here - I'm looking for one too.

(Apologies to OP for going off topic)

i am quitting my life on BFL herewith. my new forum activity will be, since today, on multitool.org. True, it's summer.

i need to reflect this fact in my forum life :D

@Woody, how would you like the Victorinox Swisstool Spirit X for 64€ shipped?
