3 clicks to back up a page?

This is weird...

Used to be when I went from the Recent Posts to a specific thread, I could just hit the 'Back' button on my browser once and I'd get back to the Recent Posts page. Now I have to hit the back buttone 3 times to do that. It is cycling through some sort of google ad that I never had to deal with before.

Anyone else notice this?

*edit* sometimes it takes 4 clicks!

Open the post you want to view in a new tab, when you've finished, close the tab and your back where you want to be :)

Only one click for me.

I never use tabs...

BTW, it does this using IE at work. At home with Firefox I think it takes just 2 clicks

I’m willing to bet IE is your problem, and being at work I am guessing it’s either IE6 or IE7, both are super outdated and can cause many issues.

Your missing out by not using them. I can't imagine a using a browser without tabs

It's IE 8.

I just don't like having to shut down tabs, that's what the back button is for!

OK, this is weird. Now it is working with just one click.

Gremlins. Clearly, gremlins.

I only have to double click if I've just posted a comment.

No problems here I use Google Chrome fastest browser there is

I actually do have problems on some sites like this at work, sometimes causing me to have to click back a large number of times. Here it is because of the filtering software in place, I am not sure exactly how it causes the issues but I do know that is the reason.

I've got the same problem, sometimes it seems to help if I click several times quickly. I'm running IE 9 -- never noticed this until recently.

I'm using IE9 and everything is working just fine.......for now.

Everything is fine on chrome for me. :)

I've been reading a lot of good things about google chrome. I might have to give it a try one of these days.

Strange, is is doing it again today. 3 or 4 clicks to back up a page to the Recent Posts thread.

Not that you'll find this news particularly helpful, other than to maybe help isolate the problem as local to your computer/internet server, but things are working normally here (i.e. one click to get back). Good luck solving the problem.

You can also just hit the "recent posts" link at the top of every page if that works better for you than the back button.

Yes, I agree.

Fust an FYI, when I have to use three clicks, at the bottom of the page it identifies the pages as Google.doubleclick something or other.
